YOUTH/TEEN PROGRAMS:

Art Classes for Kids LIVE ONLINE!!

(Instructor: Carolyn Arosell)
Carolyn Arosell, a proud Camp Hill and Penn State Lion, is a recent graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Art Education. With a passion for helping children and adults find their own voice, she desires to inspire creativity and innovation in her own classroom. Through many hours of classroom observation and teaching ranging across a variety of different age groups, Carolyn has chosen to focus on elementary art education. Through her involvement in the National Art Education Association, as well as Pennsylvania Art Education Association, she has gotten to work closely with other young teachers and collaborate on new teaching strategies and ideas. Her dream is to leave a lasting impact on all of her students and to help foster creative thinking.

Description about class:
Due to COVID-19, we have all found ways to get creative using materials found around the house. Recycled, or found, materials represent an abundant, sustainable, and low-cost resource for children’s art making. During the four-week course, students will be working collaboratively on Zoom to explore ways to reinvent household materials while also working with more traditional art practices like plein air paining. The course will meet on Monday and Wednesday for four consecutive weeks. It will take place live on Zoom that will be accessed through a reoccurring link sent to your email. At the end of the session, students will have the opportunity to participate in a virtual art gallery using photos taken of their work.
