Camp Hill Lions Club

February 2021 Newsletter Article:

  • The Camp Hill Lions Club has found itself busy, of late, in spite of the virus.  We have entered into the zoom era and it seems to work quite well.  We were blessed with good weather, which enabled up to clean our adopted highway.  It is an interesting project, as we find all sorts of items, none of value, of course.  We were a little late but were able to finalize our annual scholarship, which we award yearly to a deserving student.  We were also proud to assist a young man, who is working on a wonderful Eagle Scout project.  Our big project was our annual Christmas tree sale.  We held our breath when we ordered the trees, not knowing what sort  of result we would have.  We rely on the money received for a majority of our charity projects.  But we were blessed with fair weather and generous customers, and we sold out in a timely manner.  We send our thanks to all who supported our sale.  The bad side of the virus is that we have had to postpone our annual Pancake Jamboree.  We are hopeful that we will be able to have it later in the year.  We will let you know well in advance so you can make plans to attend and enjoy the food and friendship. As this year of sadness and fear ends, we wish to thank all who support our projects and to wish one and all a happy, health New Year.
