Camp Hill accepting applications to fill vacancies on Human Relations Commission (HRC)

The Borough of Camp Hill is accepting applications to fill vacancies on the newly created Human Relations Commission (HRC), which seeks to prohibit discrimination in the Borough in employment, housing, and the use of public accommodation facilities.

Applicants for the HRC should represent a cross-section of the Camp Hill community. The Borough is looking for individuals who are dedicated to fairness and equality and have demonstrated abilities in fact-finding, objectivity, and dispute resolution.

The HRC shall consist of five members, who shall serve staggered terms of three years each, except that the initial members shall have a term of one year for one member, two years for two members and three years for two members, respectively. At all times there shall be an odd number of members. Applicants are encouraged to inform what length of term they wish to serve.

Applicants for the HRC shall be residents of the Borough or individuals who work full time within the Borough. No voting member of the Commission shall hold any office in any political party.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest and a resume to the attention of Pat Dennis at by June 30, 2017.
