NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Borough Council of the Borough of Camp Hill will consider an amendment to the borough zoning map on July 24th at 6 p.m. at the Borough Municipal Center, 2145 Walnut Street, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania 17011. Borough Council will receive testimony and consider the following:

Borough Council is requesting an amendment to Borough Zoning Map to change the use type of 8 properties located on S. 32nd Street and Columbia Avenue. The properties located on S.32nd Street addressed 501 S. 32nd Street to 505 S. 32nd street shall be rezoned from Commercial Highway Office “CHO” to High Density Residential Office “HDRO”. The properties located on Columbia Avenue addressed 3121 Columbia Avenue to 3101 Columbia Avenue (including the so-called “right-of-way” more fully described in the deed dated July 31, 2003 between Wengert’s Diary Inc. and Patlin Properties, LP, Cumberland County Recorder of Deeds, Book 258, Page 2959) shall be rezoned from Commercial Highway Office (CHO) to Low Density Residential (LDR).

NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MEETING IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Borough Council of the Borough of Camp Hill, at a special meeting on July 24th at 7 p.m. at the Borough Municipal Center, 2145 Walnut Street, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania 17011, shall consider for adoption and enactment and, if approved for action, adopt and enact the following proposed ordinance.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF CAMP HILL, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE BOROUGH OF CAMP HILL

The Ordinance is summarized as follows:

Section 1. Amends the Borough zoning map to change the use of 8 properties located on S.32nd Street addressed 501 S. 32nd Street to 505 S. 32nd Street (from Commercial Highway Office to High Density Residential Office) and on Columbia Avenue addressed 3121 Columbia Avenue to 3101 Columbia Avenue (from Commercial Highway Office to High Density Residential Office).

Section 2. Providing for delivery of amended zoning map to Cumberland County Planning Department.

Section 3. Provides for Severability.

Section 4. Provides for Repealer.

Section 5. Provides Effective Date.

A copy of the proposed Ordinance in its entirety is available for review at the Borough Office during regular business hours.  Copies of all or portions of the Ordinance will be made available for purchase at cost of reproduction.  Persons who wish to purchase a complete copy of the Ordinance are asked to call the Borough in advance at 717-737-3456.  Copies are also being furnished to an may be examined at (a) the Office of the newspaper publishing this notice and (b) the Office of County Commissioners of Cumberland County, Cumberland County Courthouse, Second Floor, 1 Courthouse Square, Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Council Vacancy

NOTICE Camp Hill Borough currently has one (1) vacancy on the Borough Council. Persons interested must be a resident in the borough for 1 year and a registered elector. Camp Hill Borough residents who are interested in serving until the unexpired term ends in December 2019 can send letters of interest to Pat Dennis, Borough Manager, Borough of Camp Hill, 2145 Walnut Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011 . Letters should describe the background of the proposed applicant, the length of time said applicant has continuously been a Camp Hill Borough resident, and if the applicant is a registered elector in the Borough. Letters of interest will be accepted through May 31, 2019 by close of business. The candidate who applied and interviewed for the prior vacancy will be considered for the current vacancy without need to reapply or reinterview. The Camp Hill Borough Council will interview candidates and consider an appointment for the vacancy at a public meeting to be held on June 6 , 2019 at 6 p.m., at the Camp Hill Borough Hall, 2145 Walnut Street, Camp Hill.

Pollutant Reduction Plan

The Borough of Camp Hill is required to submit a Pollutant Reduction Plan (PRP) for a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) stormwater discharge permit from its Small Municipal Separated Storm Sewer System (MS4).  The Borough is required to reduce its sediment discharges into local waters by 10% in the next 5 years beginning in 2018.  A draft of the PRP will be available at the Camp Hill Borough Hall and on the Borough’s website for public comment from August 2nd through  August 31st.
