FREE!!  STEM Education Demo Night

All are welcome to come and learn about STEM programming which involves Robotics, Coding and Engineering.  We have lots of fun planned for your family, including: Creating and animating robots using the LEGO®  WeDo™ software in our Robotics course.  Learning basic coding concepts to see just how easy computer programming can be in our Game Design course.  Having a blast mastering Engineering Discover the amazing world of machines and bridge design with hands-on projects using LEGO® bricks and K’NEX® parts.  Call the Recreation Office to register for this free night!

Robotics 201

Robots don’t build themselves.  They need dreamers, problem solvers and thinkers.  Let’s encourage kids’ talents with fun, hands-on projects building and animating robots.  Kids partner in teams to build and animate amazing robots.  During this program children will build sophisticated robots while developing advanced problem solving and engineering skills.

Wednesday:
Grades: 4 – 6
Dates:  March 16, 23, 30, and April 6

One Day STEM Classes offered on a School Closed Day!

You are able to register for BOTH classes or just ONE.  If participant is in both sessions the participant is able to stay for lunch with the instructors, just bring a lunch along.

Robotics:  9 – 12 pm

Grades: 1 – 3, Robotics 101, Enjoy a lively introduction to building and programming robots.

Grades: 4 – 6, Robotics 102, Explore pulleys and gears through the creation of new robots.

Machine Makers:  1 – 4 pm

Grades: 1 – 3, Machine Makers 102, Explore the amazing world of simple machines building, testing and re-designing cars, ships and machines that move using LEGO®.

Grades: 4 – 6, Machine Makers 201, Race into the world of engineering and learn about simple machines (such as gears, levers and pulleys) by building and designing cars, ramps and other awesome creations using LEGO®.
