Scott Singer – Bio

Scott is the founder of the Next Level Basketball Performance Academy located in Harrisburg, PA.  Scott has been working with local high school, middle school and AAU teams for approximately ten years, which includes the Camp Hill Middle School Boys.  He also does an extensive amount of individual player development through his 1 on 1 and small group training programs.  Top local players such as Devin Thomas (Wake Forest), Mike Zangari (East Carolina) and Josh Trumpy (West Chester) all rely on Scott to take their game to the “next level” during the off-season.  Scott also had his first player become a Pro when three-time All-American Alyssa Thomas was drafted by the Connecticut Sun of the WNBA.  His own daughter Gabby, earned a Division 1 scholarship to play at Monmouth University where she set the all-time games played record and was the team captain and MVP her Senior year.  She now brings her wealth of knowledge and experience to Next Level as a staff member.  Scott has also trained teams from Mid-Penn Motion and South Central Select in the past and is currently the Player Development Coach for Central PA Elite.  Scott has been an integral part in the pre-season development of three PIAA AAAA State Champions on the girl’s side with Central Dauphin and two-time defending champs Cumberland Valley.

As a Player Development Coach, Scott’s goal is to create more highly skilled, fundamentally sound players with a high basketball IQ.  He utilizes Read and React, and Attack and Counter principles to help players think the game as well, which he refers to as “neck up” training.  His background as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist allows him to incorporate quickness, agility and plyometric training into his programs.  By improving their skills, athletic abilities, and mental game, Scott truly develops the total player.
